You may be one of the lucky few. For years, you never had to go through the times of going to school or going to the office pocked with acne. And you also have a very high self esteem because of that fact. This skin condition is also known as acne vulgaris. But that is its scientific name and most people do not usually call that condition by that. It can also be called as pimples, spots, or blemishes. Sometimes, there are places in the world that calls such condition as having zits. This commonly affects the parts of the skin with sebaceous follicles which is usually the face and the upper portion of your chest. Your back also has such follicles so this is also commonly targeted by acne.
Adolescents are often those who have this skin condition. In fact, statistics have it that 85% of the whole number of teenagers is the group who suffer from this condition. Most people would outgrow this and the acne would gradually disappear. For some though, they bring the condition right when they grow old. Experts who have studied this have said that teenagers are usually the group who get acne is because of male hormones which are given out by the glands during this period.
