As individuals are entering the puberty stage, acne has always played a huge problem in that transition process. Asides from teenagers, acne is a problem that many adults are facing as well, and dealing with inflamed pimples can definitely be a pain if you are tired of struggling with skin care regimens that simply are not getting the job done for you. Luckily, there are ways for you to experience a healthy appeal while reducing inflamed pimples, returning a healthy glow to your face and body while reducing the likelihood of problems with pimples and acne in the future. If you are ready to overcome your problems with inflamed pimples, keep reading to find out more.

Not only are these techniques going to help you alleviate your condition today, but also over a period of time, to the point where you can call yourself pimple free.

- First and foremost, you are going to want to avoid popping your inflamed pimples as this is only going to spread the infection even further. Popping and bursting pimples is what causes scarring that can destroy your complexion forever.

- If you are experiencing itching around a pimple, dip a cotton ball into rose water and gently press it against the pimple to give your skin some relief. Rose water is a popular remedy for soothing inflammation in the skin effectively.

- Another remedy is to make a paste out of rose water and turmeric powder. Now apply this paste to your skin where pimples are present, and leave it on for fifteen minutes before washing it off with cold temperature water. The turmeric powder is a spice that has antiseptic qualities to it. This is going to ensure that your pimple will fade away without being given a chance to cause any further problems or infections.

- Here is another remedy for inflamed pimples: You can create a paste using fresh extract of lemon, unflavored or plain yogurt and fresh honey. Squeeze a fresh whole lemon into a bowl that contains between 4 and 5 tablespoons of yogurt and then add in between 2 teaspoons and 3 teaspoons of honey. Mix everything together as thoroughly as you can. Now apply this concoction to your face using a face brush to make sure that it is even. This is going to eliminate the risk of accidently popping the pimples.

Wash the face pack off using cold temperature water following about 15 minutes to 20 minutes. The lemon acts as a bleaching agent while absorbing excessive oil in your skin. The yogurt adds soothing qualities to the skin and provides the skin with healthy bacteria that will aid in the process of skin regeneration. The honey is going to add natural moisture to your skin, alleviating the possibility that it will become excessively dry from the lemon.

- Something else that you may want to consider is a dietary change, as foods that are rich in saturated fats can sometimes contribute to a hormonal imbalance which is capable of causing problems with inflamed pimples.br

Clearing Out Acne With The Best Treatment

Embarrassed and bothered no end by acne? Thats unfortunate! But youre certainly not alone with this predicament. It is estimated that about eighty percent of teenagers suffer from the unsightly presence of acne, even if these are mere pimples. And of those who have acne, about twenty percent is afflicted with the more harsh forms which leave an even more embarrassing trace we know as scar.

Acne is an inflammatory disease. Its ugliness is difficult to conceal as it usually affects the skin of the face, neck, and shoulders. Often it becomes manifest during a persons early teen years and persists into his or her twenties. In a show of surrender, some people with acne accept their suffering as being a natural consequence of getting out of the childhood years. Still, it is important that people understand what really causes acne.

During the transition period from childhood to adolescence, sex hormones are produced by the glands. As these hormones circulate through the body tissues, they arouse the oil glands to greater activity. (These oil glands – scientifically termed sebaceous glands – are associated with the hair vesicles of the skin.) And as the cells within these oil glands increase in number at such a rapid pace, they cause the glands outlets to be obstructed. The glands proceed with their activity though their secretion cant reach the external layer of the skin anymore. As this happens, white specks (which we call whiteheads) are produced by the bulging of the tiny glands which stretch the surrounding tissues. The deeply-entrenched secretion then goes through a process of chemical change, making it appear black (what we know as blackhead). Stretching some more, the sebaceous glands and the hair vesicles break, causing inflammation on the affected area. Small solid, conical elevations (papules) develop next, followed by pustules (more commonly known as pimples). Under a more harsh condition, microorganisms penetrate the skin as the delicate tissues are shattered, resulting to infections.

Promoting ones overall health so as to be more resistant to all sorts of disorder is a necessary primary step in treating acne. A treatment program usually involves the following series of actions: Cleansing the affected parts, at least twice a day, with warm water and non-medicated soap; refraining from using cosmetics for the entire treatment period; getting sufficient rest (this is when an eight-hour-a-night sleep is very important); having a well-balanced diet; and avoiding the use of drugs or medications that are not prescribed by a physician.

Whats more important for people to know is that there is a scientifically-proven natural way that can cure acne permanently – something that acne sufferers are certainly looking for./pbr

Tea Tree Oil – A Natural Acne Treatment?

If you suffer from acne, tea tree oil might sound like a good option for getting rid of it ? but does it work? Theres so much hype around natural treatments now that sometimes the truth gets buried for the sake of being environmentally friendly.

It might, or might not, depending. Before we get into that, though, let?s look at what tea tree oil is. It?s derived from a plant that?s native to Australia, called Melaleuca alternifolia. Originally, the leaves of the plant were used for tea, which is how it got its name. But the leaves themselves also contain oil and the extraction of that oil is what results in tea tree oil.

In Australia, it was soon discovered there are a multitude of uses for tea tree oil. The aborigines used the tea tree leaves for healing properties, and applied them to cuts and burns. But the leaves also contain a compound that works like an antiseptic, and that?s what is useful for acne. The was originally discovered by aborigines living near ponds where the tea tree leaves would gather in the water. They found that people who bathed in this water healed of cuts and infections far more quickly.

So, how useful is tea tree oil for getting rid of acne? Studies have shown that tea tree oil works well for acne, even better than benzoyl peroxide, which had more side effects and didn?t work quite as effectively. Many people report that benzoyl peroxide products make them itch and their skin feel like it?s burning and drying out, but they don?t have that problem with tea tree oil; natural treatments seem to have won this round!

Now, if you want to use tea tree oil on your skin, there are some things you should know before you start:

Don?t use tea tree oil in its undiluted state. Although you might think that will lead to more success in dealing with your acne, it won?t. When you put it directly on your skin, you might have some serious skin irritation that could include itching, redness and over drying. Pure essential oils are extremely potent and should be diluted with a base or carrier oil first. If you dont you could wind up with an unpleasant buring sensation on your skin.

Use a product that has about 5% tea tree oil. In studies, that amount is the best for skin. If you can?t find it commercially, you can make it yourself by mixing 5 parts tea tree oil to 95 parts water.

Some say you should only use tea tree oil if you have serious acne. Some people who only have mild acne (or just a few pimples here and there) say that their skin gets too dry if they use tea tree oil. You can always try using this product if you have tried other solutions that just havent worked.

Find a product that has other acne-fighting ingredients like witch hazel or benzoyl peroxide in it. Again, try a few things, because some products might irritate your skin more than others. Sometimes it simply is a case of trial and error?br

If you’re like most of us, you’ve probably had a bout or two with acne. Any teenager can tell you about the anguish that accompanies these nasty little bumps. Fortunately we now have many solutions to this old-as-time affliction.

If you are one of the 80% of human beings affected by acne, then you’ve probably used one or many over-the-counter, drugstore products. Many of these treatments, while fighting the break-outs to some extent, also cause dryness, redness, or itching. Then you’re stuck with additional problems. The key is to find out what products are right for you and your skin type.

Many acne fighting treatments available today are infused with active ingredients such as, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, both of which are proven acne fighters. Whether you’re looking for a drying agent (benzoyl peroxide) or an exfoliant (salicylic acid) should be considered prior to purchasing. Benzoyl peroxide, the drying agent works to dry up the oil-ridden skin, therefore vanquishing the pimples. Salicylic acid, on the other hand, is an exfoliant which are designed to slough dead skin cells from the face or body in order to unclog pores, hence relieving one cause of breakouts. Several cleansers, toners, and pads are available with this active ingredient.

No matter what kind of acne you have, it is always good to consult a dermatologist prior to treatment. Dermatologists can also prescribe prescription medication, which may be better and faster than an over-the-counter solution. Oral treatments are available in addition to topical creams and gels.

A popular acne product on the market today is Proactive Solution, which can be purchased online or possibly at your local shopping mall. Many devout users of this product swear by its effectiveness. If you watch television, you surely know what I’m talking about. If you are curious about this and virtually any other acne treatment, simply do an online search and you will be flooded with suggested solutions. Some of these are probably effective while others may not do anything. So it pays to be cautious.

Whether you’re afflicted with teenage blackheads and whiteheads, or merely some bothersome mild acne as an adult, there is a solution to your skin problems. While acne affects most of us at one point or another in our hectic lives, whether it’s brought on by hormones or stress, we don’t have to just take it. Acne can and does affect self-esteem, and should be dealt with before it gets severe. In the wonderful world of technology we all share, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t take advantage of its innovations.
