Who are prone to acne? Adolescents? Young adults? Adults? Or those whose hearts were struck by Cupid? It is a common knowledge that during adolescence, pimples or acne becomes a problem. Another thing is that it is believed that acne is also a sign that a person is in love. This is what mostly people say to tease either the teenagers or the adults when they have acne. But what do skin experts say about acne? They said that acne is most common among teenagers in their adolescent years. Almost 85% of teenagers are affected of this skin problem and that it also continues even they reach adulthood. It is a problem that affects both males and females. It is also said that it is an accumulation of sex hormones during puberty that causes the acne so much so that they start to be seen during adolescence. There are some cases when the condition has lessened through the years. There are also times when a person will have the condition disappear when they reach their 20s. But there are some people who are not lucky enough to be saved from acne so much so that they have it even when they hit their thirties and beyond that. There are also some cases when a person does not have acne during their teens but then develop such a condition when they reach adulthood. According to the numbers from the American Dermatology Association, patients who are suffering from acne have been gradually increasing and the number of adults with such a condition is also going up. In the US, more than 17 million adults already have it. If an adolescent has acne and this affects how he or she perceives himself (or herself), how much more can it affect an adult? Acne as a skin problem brings down one’s self confidence thus causing anxiety and depression in the process. One gift that God has given to human beings is our face. And if a zit, pimple or acne can be found there, it definitely can greatly affect a person’s life especially if that person is much too conscious about how he or she looks. It is also an asset when you have to seek work in the business world where your job descriptions means dealing with people. If that is what your job asks you to do, a clear face is a plus factor. One has to face acne. Go out and reach out. There are plenty of articles that speak of acne facts. Just one click and you will know how to get rid of acne .
