Once this phase is completed, the occurrence of acne stops as if by a miracle. Although this has baffled many researchers, controlling the hormonal imbalances occurring with the body is said to be highly effective. The hormones will lead to an increase production of sebum that will accumulate in the pores of the skin. Keep the free devoid of this excess sebum and you will bid goodbye to acne forever.

2) Dietary Habits: Consuming excess oily food will also lead to acne. This has been proven scientifically in many occasions. Just imagine if you could get back that healthy, glowing skin of your teenage days, how would that change your life? Taking vitamins for healthy skin can do just that for you.

Vitamins for healthy skin
It’s a proven fact now that our skin mirrors our body’s health. If our body is deficient in any essential nutrients, it will show up on our skin too. Taking vitamins not only helps in keeping our body in shape; it also keeps our skin healthy and beautiful.

Let’s take a look at what these vitamins can do for our skin -

The antioxidant vitamins C and E have been found to protect the skin from the damage caused by sun rays. This helps in avoiding age spots and wrinkles to a great extent.

Vitamin A has been shown to reduce Acne and Psoriasis symptoms. It also helps in repairing damaged skin tissue. Vitamin B complex is also essential for the health of our skin. It hydrates the cells and also lightens the skin to an extent.

The good part is you can get enough of these vitamins through your diet only. Fruits and vegetables contain plenty of Vitamin A. Vitamin C can be found in bell peppers, cauliflower and broccoli. Bananas, rice, eggs are all good sources of Vitamin B. Vitamin E is mostly found in nuts and seeds, and is a little difficult to get enough of from our food itself. So many people take a supplement or a cream containing the vitamin in it.

While taking vitamins for healthy skin is good, there are other natural substances too which can greatly help you in taking care of your skin.

Natural ingredients like Cynergy TK. Cynergy TK is a natural extract derived from the wool of New Zealand sheep. It helps by stimulating the production of Collagen and Elastin in our skin. These two proteins make sure that our skin keeps in shape and free from wrinkles and fine lines.

Phytessence Wakame, a Japanese sea kelp, nourishes our skin with plenty of vitamins and minerals. In fact, it contains 15 times more calcium than milk! It also protects the skin from sun damage and pollution.

CoQ10 is a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from the damage caused by free radicals. It also acts as an effective moisturizer and keeps the skin hydrated and supple.

In conclusion, supplementing vitamins for healthy skin with a natural cream containing these amazing ingredients is all that you need to keep your skin healthy and youthful. Get started now and find out a good cream which can help you do this effectively.

Should You Market to Pleasure… Or Pain?

Category: Internet & Online Business @ 5:59 am

Author: Alexandria K. Brown
Source: download

One day a few months ago, I emptied my mailbox after being away for several days.
Because I give regularly to charities, I seem to be on the mailing lists of every organization in the world. So there were plenty of solicitations to sort through.
Usually I toss most of the envelopes I receive, the ones with generic messages on them like “help us today” or “give to save the… [insert 'children', 'animals', or 'forests' here]“.
But one envelope caught my eye. It was an unusual beige color, it had a picture of a cute little dog on it, and it said in bold letters, “Don’t let what happened to Coco happen again.”
Because I was curious who Coco was and what happened to him, I opened the envelope.
The letter told a true story of animal abuse so horrific that I burst into tears for that poor little dog. It ended by explaining how I could help prevent this from happening to other animals by donating to their organization.
I can tell you I never whipped out my checkbook so fast in my life.
But why this time?
Why had I ignored all the other mailings that simply asked for my help?
Because this one made me FEEL.
It told me a shocking true story. It struck a deep nerve in me that brought out my rage regarding this topic. Suddenly it was personal, because it touched on my pain.
You see, all marketing plays on either pleasure or pain.
It seems to me that most marketing plays on pleasure. For example, cosmetic companies show women how gorgeous and young we could look if we only used their products. Car companies show us how sexy and powerful we’d feel if we buy that sports car we can’t afford. And beer companies convince men that they’ll magically attract gorgeous females if they only drink a certain beverage.
But…
Sometimes “Pain” Works Better
Some businesses will do BETTER by marketing to people’s pain. For example, a TV commercial for a financial planning service shows a couple arguing over money while their children listen from the other room, looking scared. An acne medication ad shows a teenage girl staying home from the prom, crying because she’s got a few pimples.
And if you think about it, most of us don’t take action on things until we feel pain. For example, a friend of mine didn’t take control of his finances until he was nearly bankrupt. And a couple I know didn’t hire a marriage counselor until they were ready to split for good. My sister didn’t look for a better job until she couldn’t stand the one she was in anymore.
So, follow along with me here…
Are your prospects more likely to actually buy your product or hire you based on wanting pleasure … or to move AWAY from their pain?
For example, a dating coach may have more success in her marketing with statements like, “Are you sick and tired of sitting home lonely on Friday nights? Attracting the wrong men for you again and again? The clock is ticking – have you met Mr. Right yet?”
The idea is to touch on people’s pain, then show them that you’re the solution.
Another example is an auto repair shop that marketed a free report, “10 Ways Not to Get Ripped-Off Next Time You Get Your Car Fixed”. Not only did that touch on most folks’ fear of getting ripped off, but it also positioned them as an authority on the subject!
For those of us who are naturally positive people, marketing to others’ pain may seem initially uncomfortable. But you’re doing them a favor! By helping them realize what’s wrong in their lives, their businesses, or the world, you’re also showing them how they can fix it. You’re actually helping them “see the light”.
Marketing to people’s pain can make for dramatic results when done right.
What State of Mind Are YOUR Prospects In?
Think about your target market right now. What state of mind are they in when they are considering hiring you or buying your product? Are they more likely to take action to gain pleasure? Or to make the pain they’re in go away?
If the answer is different than what you’ve been doing, try changing the angle of your marketing for a while.
You may find that a little pain is the best thing that ever happened to your business.

PLR – Junk Or A Goldmine?

Category: Internet & Online Business @ 5:58 am

Author: Anne P Jackson
Source: articlesbase.com

Intelligent Internet Marketers have come to realize that PLR materials (Private Label Rights), are as valuable as gold in the online Internet Marketing community. Why is that? Some of you may have heard that PLR is old, useless JUNK! For starters — not everything old is bad. I have an old chair of my grandmothers that is probably worth several thousand dollars! I also have a chair that I purchased a few years ago that is probably worth about $50! But lets compare apples to apples, you say? All right, consider this scenario: You are promoting a product in the skincare/acne niche. You were one of the lucky few as a teenager and never had many zits — so your knowledge base on the subject is a bit limited. Now, to promote your affiliate product you’ll want to write some articles and maybe set up a small “informational” website. So you’re going to have to do some research to learn a little about your niche. Three hours later you have a good handle on what acne is all about and are ready to write 10 articles on the subject to get your campaign going. MEANWHILE — a competitor, who signed up for the same program at the same time, and has the same amount of knowledge about acne, has ten PLR articles on the subject. He rewote all 10 articles in about two hours (It takes about 10-20 minutes for each article) AND has already submitted them. Now he is well on his way to developing a nice informational website as well, because he has a PLR ebook on acne that he can edit and use for content. Within another few hours, he’ll have that up and running along with a nice freebie for his opt-in list. (maybe a nice PLR report on acne to get potential customers interested). Where does that leave you? In His Dust! Your competitor is working on ANOTHER campaign while you’re still struggling to write your first 10 articles. Even PLR that is technologically out of date can be valuable. How often have you spent hours wracking your brain just trying to come up with IDEAS for what to write an article on? Cell phones have changed dramatically even in only the past 3 years. Yet the IDEA or subject matter of an article is still good. You may have to rewrite and research, but at least you are now focused and have a goal in mind. You know where you’re going with the subject matter. This is the true value of PLR — research and time. Time is money.

Join the band of big time Internet Marketers and capitalize on what has already been done for you. Discover the value of using PLR in your campaigns.

Don’t Be Afraid Of Dermatology

Many people I know are afraid to make regular visits to their physicians. For some reason, they have learned to be fearful of visiting a doctor and of what the visit might mean for them. I am increasingly grateful that my parents taught me to understand that going to a doctor is a privilege that not everyone in the world gets. As I have been raising my own five children, I have tried to help them understand as well that visiting a doctor of any kind is a privilege that should not be taken lightly. I have recently begun sharing with my kids the privilege of utilizing the physicians who specialize in dermatology.

Dermatology is one field of medicine that you should never be afraid of. Why? Because the goal of dermatology is simply to make you look better, literally. Dermatology has everything to do with the health and life of your skin. It is a complete privilege that we get to have doctors who are totally devoted to helping us improve the condition of our skin.

I have recently begun taking my three teenagers to see a doctor who specializes in dermatology and more particulary in teen skin care. My teens are all struggling with acne and are hoping that dermatology can be at least part of the answer. What I appreciate about dermatology as a field is that the physicians more often than not realize that skin problems are related to a lot more than just a chemical imbalance. Dermatology often suggests, for example, that teens and young adults need to make adjustments to their diet and fitness habits if they really want to see changes come to their skin.

One of the great things that dermatology has done for our family is teach us all the importance of drinking water. I never realized what a huge role that water played in clearing skin and in keeping skin looking vibrant and healthy. Since we have been using dermatology often, we have noticed a strong difference in all of our skin.

If you have questions about your skin or about problems you are having with your skin then look no further than to dermatology. See what a dermatologist can do for you. Get advice about good dermatologists from friends or family members and schedule and appointment for everyone in your family today. Dermatology is concerned with everything related to skin, not just with acne problems. You can get screened for skin cancer and learn how to take better care of your appearance.

Natural Remedies for Oily Hair

Category: Health & Fitness @ 5:58 am

Source: articlesbase.com

Herbal infusions have been used as efficient, inexpensive home remedy for hair rinses since time immemorial. Elizabeth Woodville, king Edward IV’s queen, was famous for her luscious blond tresses. History tells us that she washed her hair in chamomile, rinsed it with lemon juice and polished it with silk. She obviously had a great deal of time! And, as we’re still talking about them, her remedies must have been effective.Oily hair affects a lot of people, and there are a number of hair care products on the market for this condition. Unfortunately, many of these shampoos tend to treat this condition with ingredients that have a high detergent content. This puts the sebacious glands into overdrive, and makes the problem even worse.Oily hair can be a pain and is a common complaint among persons who have acne problems. Oily hair is difficult to manage, can be limp, and hard to style. A common misconception about oily hair is that it is caused by an oily scalp. The exact opposite is usually true. A dry scalp causes the oil glands in the scalp to produce more oil, and once on the scalp, this excess oil transfers to the hair itself.Oil on the scalp comes from glands (sebaceous) associated with all follicle pores. On the face and scalp they are most prevalent. Oils (sebum) are secreted to protect and coat the hair – providing moisture, protecting from UV or heat damage, and to nourish the follicle strands. The best way to treat oily hair is to wash it frequently. You will need a mild shampoo as you will be washing the hair daily from now on and you do not want your regular shampoo to strip the hair of its natural oils. Whilst it may seem like a good idea because after all, your hair is oily, there are still some essential oils which the hair needs in order to stay healthy. The oil in hair is produced by glands. This oil is called sebum. Sebum naturally moisturizes our heads and our hair draws the oil from the scalp down into our locks and tresses as well. In adolescence it is common for the sebaceous glands to produce excess amounts of oil and this is what gives teenagers the greasy hair that is so often a plague among this sensitive group. Also, vinegar often makes a really good rinse, though it does not smell as good as the lemon! It is better to use white vinegar and it is thought that two tablespoons of the vinegar mixed with one cupful of water should work perfectly. The vinegar acts as a tonic for the scalp and it clears any remaining soap away from the scalp, which can often cause oily hair to be weighed down. For some of the highest Vitamin A foods, there are vegetables, such as spinach and carrots, there are fruits, like peaches, apricots and blueberries, and the dairy foods of milk, cheeses and eggs are also vital. With daily doses of protein foods, fish, very lean meats, and nuts or whole grain foods will only enhance your healthiest of overall body, hair, nails and brain functioning alertness too.

Effectiveness Of Home Remedies

Category: Health & Fitness @ 5:58 am

Author: Patricia Davis -
Source: articledashboard.com

Do you have money to throw away? Today’s medicines, whether over-the-counter or prescription, can take quite a bite out of your pocket book. Hospitals and clinics cost a lot of money. Hospitalization can be stressful financially as well as physically. Many people these days are turning to options that are more accessible and inexpensive. One of the most popular of the options is the home remedy.

Home remedies are cures and treatments that are made from the things you probably already have in your house. Home remedies may or may not actually have medicinal properties that treat the ailments in question. Many of the more popular home remedies are used out of tradition. They may not always cure the disease – sometimes they simply make you feel
better.

Remedies made at home are less expensive than other forms of medicine. They are relatively harmless compared to modern medicine, as they rarely cause harmful interactions or side effects. These natural cures have been used for generations to cure our common ailments.

Many people confuse home remedies with homeopathic medicine. Aside from the fact that both are considered alternative forms of medicine, they are not related. Many homeopathic treatments work for no other reason than the placebo effect. They are nothing like natural remedies.

One of the most commonly used home remedy is chicken soup. Who hasn’t enjoyed a nice hot bowl of chicken soup when they’ve had a cold or the flu? According to recent studies, chicken soup may be effective in treating these upper respiratory ailments because it contains neutrophil chemotaxis. This is a chemical that is effective in fighting infections and inflammation.

There are natural home remedies out there for almost any disease or ailment you can think of. Most of the conditions that are treatable with home remedies are mild in severity. These include but are not limited to: yeast infection, acne, constipation, dandruff, abdominal pain, tooth ache, and headache.

The home remedy for a yeast infection, for example, combats the fungus (yeast) that is responsible for the infection. One treatment is to wash the infected area with apple cider vinegar. Yogurt can also be used in this manner, as it contains bacteria effective in fighting yeast. Drinking buttermilk is another popular way to cure a yeast infection.

Acne is a common complaint among teenagers, but affects adults as well. Home remedies can help to dry the acne up. One effective home remedy is to puree orange peel with a little bit of water and apply it to the acne. Cucumber leaves can also be used in the same manner. Even a raw clove of garlic rubbed across the acne can be effective.

Of the home remedies available for dandruff, the most popular is aloe vera gel. Aloe vera is good for your hair, too – not just the scalp. Lime juice is also effective against dandruff.

Constipation is a very common complaint, and it has many home remedies. Most of these employ foods with laxative properties. Everyone is familiar with the laxative effects of prunes, but were you aware that bale fruit is also helpful? Bale fruit cleans out the intestines and gets the contents of your intestines moving, providing constipation relief. For children and toddlers, an effective treatment for constipation is bran cereal. Eating guava is also an effective treatment.

Home remedies are made from natural ingredients, so they are generally safe and usually won’t harm you. For treatment of ailments that are not dangerous, home remedies can provide you the relief you need safely and inexpensively.

Nutrition in Relation to Our Skin

Category: Health & Fitness @ 5:58 am

Author: Michael Russell
Source: articleage.com

It’s the thing that keeps our insides in. It’s the display window for much of what’s happening inside of us. It’s the largest organ of our body. It is our skin. It is also the organ that is most susceptible to damage from the elements, the sun and wind and cold and from environmental pollution, germs and poisons. Many symptoms of illness and disease are evidenced by the condition of our skin, such as measles and chicken pox. Pale or flushed skin tone shows that something inside is not right. Now, because it plays such an important role, it needs to be well cared for and nutrition has an important part to play in caring for our skin.
Nutrition is vital not only for caring for our skin, but also for its development, right from the innermost layer, the dermis. It [the dermis] consists mainly of elastin and collagen. At that stage, vitamin C is the nutrient that causes the manufacture of collagen. Over time, the collagen and elastin fibers become less flexible due to damage by free radicals. Antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, E and others help to reduce that damage.
Let’s look now at a few common skin conditions and find out some of the nutrients that will effectively prevent or reduce those conditions.
Dry or rough skin.
Rough, dry skin can be prevented by vitamin A, both as part of your diet and also by using a skin cream that is rich in vitamin A on susceptible areas of your skin. Essential fats make up the membranes of our skin cells and a lack of these essential fatty acids is another cause of dry skin. We need to keep our skin well oiled from the inside by eating foods that contain these essential fatty acids, such as fish, nuts and seeds, especially flax seeds. Vital in maintaining healthy, supple skin, is our water intake. We need an average of 1.5 liters per day of good clean water. This is not only beneficial for the condition of our skin, but also for many other aspects of a healthy body.
Acne. (The teenager’s nightmare)
Acne is caused by several conditions. Excess fat blocks the skin pores. A deficiency of Vitamin A causes skin cells to be over-gelatinized, bringing about a congestion of the skin. It also brings about a lowered ability to fight infection. The solution is to eat foods that are low in fats and sugar. Drink plenty of water. Eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables. The supplements to add to your diet are Vitamin A, Zinc, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Niacin.
Eczema.
This could be caused by an allergic reaction to some foods, especially dairy products or wheat, combined with a lack of essential fatty acids. Combat eczema by a diet low in saturated fat, but with a higher content of essential fats from seeds and their cold pressed oils. These are strong anti-inflammatory agents. Cut down on meat and dairy products. Replace meat with fish. Increase vegetable intake. Supplement with essential oils like flax, evening primrose and borage oil. Add Vitamins B6, biotin zinc, magnesium as well as the antioxidant vitamins A, C and E.
Just looking at these few common conditions shows that good nutrition plays an important part in caring for your skin. So, to sum up, eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables. If possible, stick to the organically grown types. Each day, try to eat nuts, seeds or their cold pressed oils. Last but not least, pure water is vital. Drink about 1.5 liters each day.
